Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret federal healthcare regulations including HIPAA, VA mandates, and CMS guidelines
- Conduct compliance audits and risk assessments across clinical operations
- Develop corrective action plans for regulatory violations and policy gaps
- Train staff on federal compliance protocols and best practices
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for VA leadership and regulatory bodies
- Collaborate with legal and medical departments to ensure policy alignment
- Monitor legislative changes affecting veterans' healthcare services
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in federal healthcare compliance
- Certified Healthcare Compliance Professional (CHCP) or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in compliance management software (e.g., MetricStream, RSA Archer)
- Deep knowledge of VA healthcare regulations and CMS guidelines
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
