Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, CMS, VA directives)
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments for medical facilities
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for compliance gaps
- Collaborate with legal and medical teams on regulatory updates
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership
- Train staff on federal healthcare standards and protocols
- Represent the VA in external regulatory reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- 5+ years of federal healthcare compliance experience
- Active certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC or CCEP)
- Proficiency with federal regulatory frameworks (VA, HIPAA, CMS)
- Experience with compliance management software (e.g., LogicGate, Navex)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
