Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal healthcare regulations (VA, HIPAA, CMS) across 7 regional facilities
- Conduct comprehensive compliance audits and risk assessments quarterly
- Develop corrective action plans for identified regulatory gaps
- Collaborate with legal counsel on policy interpretations and updates
- Train 50+ staff annually on compliance protocols and documentation standards
- Prepare detailed reports for OIG and congressional oversight committees
- Lead interagency task force meetings with state and federal partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years federal regulatory compliance experience
- Active VA Form 10-2850c (Application for Federal Employment) submission
- Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Expert knowledge of 38 CFR Part 17 and VA Handbook 1200.01
- Advanced certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC or CCEP)
- Proficiency with VA's VISTA and CPRS systems
- Exceptional written communication for policy documentation
