Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations and VA policies across all benefit programs
- Conduct comprehensive audits and risk assessments for compliance accuracy
- Develop and implement compliance training programs for staff nationwide
- Investigate potential violations and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with legal teams to update compliance frameworks
- Prepare detailed reports for senior leadership and congressional oversight
- Maintain strict confidentiality of veteran information and sensitive data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of compliance experience in federal/government sector
- Deep knowledge of federal regulations (VA, OMB, GAO)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Experience with audit methodologies and risk assessment frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
- Proficiency in compliance management software (e.g., RSA Archer, LogicGate)
