Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal regulations (VA, HIPAA, OSHA) across all departmental operations
- Conduct comprehensive internal audits and risk assessments to identify compliance gaps
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for regulatory deficiencies
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and federal oversight bodies
- Coordinate with legal counsel to interpret complex regulatory requirements
- Train staff on updated compliance protocols and best practices
- Manage documentation systems to maintain audit-ready records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in federal compliance or healthcare regulation
- VA-specific certification or equivalent federal compliance training
- Proficiency in compliance management software (e.g., RSA Archer, LogicGate)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to regulatory detail
- Ability to interpret complex federal statutes (VA Handbook 1200.01, 1200.04)
- Experience with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy regulations
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
