Responsibilities
- Monitor and implement VA healthcare compliance protocols across facility operations
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to federal regulations (HIPAA, VA directives)
- Develop and maintain compliance documentation systems with meticulous record-keeping
- Collaborate with clinical staff to implement regulatory changes and training programs
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for federal oversight agencies
- Investigate and resolve compliance discrepancies with corrective action plans
- Stay current on evolving federal healthcare legislation and policy changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in federal compliance or healthcare regulation
- Active Federal background investigation eligibility (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency with VA-specific compliance software and documentation systems
- Strong understanding of HIPAA, CMS, and VA regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written communication skills for policy development
- Proven analytical skills for interpreting complex regulatory requirements
