Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal healthcare compliance regulations (HIPAA, VA policies)
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments across VA facilities
- Develop compliance training programs for 500+ healthcare staff
- Collaborate with DOJ and OIG on regulatory investigations
- Implement corrective action plans for non-compliance findings
- Manage compliance documentation and reporting systems
- Advise senior leadership on regulatory changes and implications
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years federal compliance experience (VA preferred)
- CHC (Certified in Healthcare Compliance) certification required
- Expert knowledge of 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA regulations
- Advanced proficiency in compliance software (e.g., MetricStream)
- Top Secret security clearance eligibility
- Experience managing multi-site compliance programs
- Exceptional written communication and analytical skills
