Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret federal/state/local regulations affecting municipal infrastructure projects
- Coordinate compliance audits with EPA, DOT, and other regulatory bodies
- Develop and maintain compliance documentation systems
- Train department staff on regulatory requirements and best practices
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for city council and state agencies
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure project alignment with standards
- Investigate non-compliance incidents and implement corrective actions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Environmental Science, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in government compliance or regulatory affairs
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) preferred
- Proficiency in regulatory databases (e.g., EPA eRulemaking portal)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license
- U.S. citizenship required for federal clearance
