Responsibilities
- Monitor and implement federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, VA directives) across 15+ departments
- Conduct quarterly compliance audits and generate actionable improvement reports
- Develop training materials for 200+ staff on regulatory updates and best practices
- Collaborate with legal counsel to resolve compliance gaps and policy discrepancies
- Manage vendor credentialing processes for 50+ third-party service providers
- Lead cross-functional committees to drive compliance culture initiatives
- Maintain electronic compliance documentation using VA's TRAK system
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- Minimum 3 years' experience in federal healthcare compliance or auditing
- Active VA or federal government security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in VA's TRAK compliance management software
- CHC (Certified Healthcare Compliance) or CCEP-AN (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of 42 CFR Part 2 and HIPAA privacy rules
- Exceptional written communication skills for policy development
