Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations and DHS policies across all operational activities
- Conduct comprehensive compliance audits and risk assessments for regional facilities
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for identified compliance gaps
- Collaborate with legal teams to update agency protocols and procedures
- Train staff on federal compliance requirements and best practices
- Prepare detailed reports for senior leadership and congressional committees
- Monitor legislative changes affecting federal compliance standards
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Criminal Justice, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in federal or regulatory compliance
- Active Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Proficiency in federal regulations (CFR, DHS directives)
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Experience with compliance management software (e.g., Comply365)
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
