Responsibilities
- Conduct audits of medical records and healthcare protocols to ensure VA compliance with federal regulations
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for identified compliance gaps
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to resolve regulatory discrepancies within 48 hours
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for senior leadership and external agencies
- Train staff on HIPAA, VA directives, and CMS regulations
- Monitor emerging healthcare policies and update compliance frameworks accordingly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of compliance experience in federal healthcare or regulated industry
- Active VA or federal security clearance (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) designation required
- Expert knowledge of HIPAA, VA directives, and CMS guidelines
- Advanced proficiency in VA data systems and audit software
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends for urgent compliance reviews
