Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to federal regulations (VA, OMB, and DoD standards) across all service delivery points
- Conduct compliance audits and implement corrective action plans for veteran service programs
- Develop and maintain standardized operating procedures for federal compliance protocols
- Coordinate with state and local agencies to align service delivery with federal requirements
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership and congressional stakeholders
- Train staff on federal regulations and best practices in veteran services
- Monitor legislative updates and adjust compliance frameworks accordingly
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of federal compliance or government auditing experience
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Expert knowledge of federal procurement regulations (FAR) and grant management
- Proficient with federal reporting systems (e.g., MAX, GSA Advantage)
- Exceptional written communication skills for policy documentation
- Proven ability to manage multiple compliance initiatives simultaneously
