Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, VA directives) across all departments
- Conduct comprehensive compliance audits and risk assessments
- Develop/implement corrective action plans for identified violations
- Train staff on regulatory requirements and compliance protocols
- Collaborate with legal counsel on policy updates and interpretations
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for senior leadership
- Stay current on evolving federal healthcare legislation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years of federal compliance or regulatory experience
- VA healthcare system familiarity preferred
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA, CMS, and federal procurement laws
- Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) certification
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Active federal security clearance (or ability to obtain)
