Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal healthcare regulations (HIPAA, VA policies)
- Conduct internal audits and implement corrective action plans
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure regulatory documentation accuracy
- Prepare comprehensive compliance reports for senior leadership
- Train employees on federal compliance protocols and updates
- Manage vendor contracts to meet federal procurement standards
- Coordinate with external auditors during compliance reviews
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or related field
- 3+ years of federal compliance or regulatory experience
- Knowledge of VA healthcare systems and federal regulations (42 CFR)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in audit methodologies
- Proficient in compliance tracking software (e.g., VistA, Cerner)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 3 background clearance
- Certified Healthcare Compliance Officer (CHCO) preferred
