Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce federal regulatory compliance across state/local agencies
- Conduct comprehensive audits of public sector programs
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks aligned with 42 CFR Part 2
- Collaborate with NC state officials on policy alignment initiatives
- Prepare detailed compliance reports for congressional oversight committees
- Train state/local staff on federal requirements and procedures
- Coordinate with DOJ and OMB on regulatory updates
Qualifications
- 5+ years in federal/state/local government compliance
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Expertise in federal healthcare/financial regulations (HIPAA, FERPA, etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of NC state administrative codes
- Professional certification (CPA, CCEP, or equivalent)
- Exceptional analytical and documentation skills
- Experience with federal grant management systems
