Responsibilities
- Monitor and enforce compliance with federal statutes (CFR, FISMA, HIPAA) across departmental operations
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and implement corrective action plans
- Collaborate with legal counsel to develop agency-wide compliance protocols
- Prepare detailed audit reports for OMB and congressional oversight committees
- Train staff on regulatory updates and best practices
- Manage compliance documentation and retention systems
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years federal compliance experience
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Proficiency in GSA Advantage and SAM.gov systems
- Familiarity with Kansas City municipal regulations
- Strong analytical and written communication skills
