Responsibilities
- Monitor inmate activities via video surveillance and physical patrols
- Conduct security inspections of facilities and personal property Respond to emergencies including medical incidents and security breaches
- Enforce institutional rules and report disciplinary infractions
- Maintain accurate logs and incident reports
- Transport inmates between facilities and court appearances
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies on joint operations
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum age 21 with high school diploma or GED
- Pass background investigation and polygraph examination
- Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret security clearance
- Successful completion of 120-hour Federal Law Enforcement Training
- Physical fitness test clearance (push-ups, sit-ups, 1.5-mile run)
- No felony convictions or domestic violence charges
- Preferred: 2+ years security or military experience
