Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional, empathetic customer service to veterans, families, and beneficiaries via phone, email, and in-person during weekend operations.
- Process complex federal applications, benefit requests, and inquiries with strict attention to accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain and update confidential veteran records in secure federal databases (e.g., VA Intake Systems).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to resolve escalations and ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Adhere to all federal regulations, privacy laws (HIPAA), and agency policies regarding security and data protection.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship is required.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, administrative support, or federal operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn proprietary federal software.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
- Ability to work a rotating weekend schedule (Friday-Sunday) and remain flexible with overtime as needed.
