Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats targeting federal systems using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified and unclassified networks
- Develop and implement incident response plans for cyber-attacks and data breaches
- Collaborate with federal agencies to coordinate threat intelligence and mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS cybersecurity frameworks
- Train federal personnel on cybersecurity best practices and threat awareness
- Document security incidents and generate comprehensive technical reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Active CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Expertise in network security tools (Splunk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike)
- Knowledge of federal compliance frameworks (NIST, FISMA, CMMC)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS security clearance
- Strong analytical skills and experience with threat hunting methodologies
- Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure) and zero-trust architecture
