Responsibilities

  • Monitor network traffic and systems to detect, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity threats and incidents in real-time.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to ensure compliance with FedRAMP and NIST standards.
  • Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, SIEM, and encryption protocols.
  • Document security policies, incident reports, and audit findings in accordance with federal guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust cybersecurity strategies and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members on security protocols and tools.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT, or a related federal support role.
  • CISSP, Security+, CEH, or equivalent certification is strongly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of network security principles, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and virtualization technologies.
