Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and vulnerability scans for federal client systems.
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts to identify potential threats or breaches.
- Implement and maintain security protocols in accordance with federal standards (FISMA, NIST).
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and improve system resilience.
- Prepare and present security briefings to stakeholders and compliance auditors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or GSEC are highly preferred.
- Experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto).
- Clearance eligibility is a major plus for this role.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and encryption standards.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
