Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure federal compliance and data protection.
- Monitor network traffic and security systems to detect, analyze, and respond to cyber threats in real-time.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits.
- Manage incident response procedures and coordinate recovery efforts for security breaches.
- Configure and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and endpoint protection solutions.
- Provide security training and briefings to staff members regarding cybersecurity best practices.
- Document security configurations and maintain accurate audit trails for regulatory reporting.
Qualifications
- Clearance: Active Top Secret (TS) or Top Secret/SCI clearance with eligibility for a polygraph.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in information security, network defense, or systems administration.
- Certifications: CISSP, Security+, CEH, or GSEC preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with NIST frameworks, FISMA, FedRAMP, and federal cloud security standards (FedRAMP High).
- Communication: Ability to articulate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders and leadership.
