Responsibilities
- Monitor federal networks for security threats and vulnerabilities using advanced SIEM tools
- Conduct incident response investigations and coordinate mitigation actions
- Implement NIST and FISMA compliance frameworks across classified systems
- Develop security policies and procedures for cloud-based federal infrastructure
- Collaborate with multi-agency teams during national security operations
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments on government systems
- Provide security briefings to senior leadership and congressional stakeholders
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years experience in enterprise security operations
- CISSP, CEH, or Security+ certification
- Expertise in threat detection tools (Splunk, CrowdStrike, etc.)
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks (NIST SP 800-53, FISMA)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government)
- Ability to obtain DHS Suitability clearance
