What You Will Do:
We are looking for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced, security-conscious environment. You will be responsible for implementing security controls, monitoring for threats, and ensuring full compliance with NIST, FISMA, and FedRAMP regulations.
Responsibilities
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and risk management scans to identify potential security weaknesses in federal networks.
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents in real-time to mitigate threats and minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with federal security standards, including FISMA, DIACAP, and NIST frameworks.
- Conduct security awareness training and briefings for federal staff and contractors.
- Manage and maintain security tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection systems.
- Document security configurations, incident reports, and audit trails in accordance with federal guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance (preferred).
- CISSP, Security+, or CEH certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in federal or government IT security environments.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, and secure coding practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting.
