Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security anomalies and potential threats in real-time.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses and mitigate risks.
- Enforce federal information security standards and compliance policies (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Investigate, contain, and remediate cybersecurity incidents and security breaches.
- Collaborate with IT staff to design, implement, and maintain secure network architecture.
- Provide security awareness training and guidance to federal employees regarding phishing and data protection.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or information systems security.
- Professional certification such as CISSP, Security+, or CEH is highly preferred.
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory for federal employment.
- Strong understanding of federal regulations and cybersecurity frameworks.
