Responsibilities
- Safeguard federal networks and systems using advanced intrusion detection/prevention tools
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on critical infrastructure
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity policies aligned with NIST and FISMA standards
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches or cyber attacks
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to share threat intelligence and best practices
- Provide cybersecurity training to federal employees and contractors
- Monitor security logs and analyze network traffic for suspicious activities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of professional cybersecurity experience in government or regulated industry
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
