Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems for federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified and unclassified systems
- Develop incident response protocols and lead breach mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with federal agencies to establish cybersecurity best practices
- Monitor threat intelligence feeds and provide real-time threat analysis
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal security protocols
- Train personnel on cybersecurity awareness and defensive measures
Qualifications
- US citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in enterprise cybersecurity
- CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+ certification (mandatory)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Knowledge of federal IT security frameworks and regulations
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work under pressure during security incidents
