Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain complex IT infrastructure solutions for federal government clients.
- Ensure compliance with federal security protocols, including NIST and FISMA standards.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and perform preventative maintenance.
- Manage cloud environments (AWS/Azure) and on-premise servers to ensure high availability and redundancy.
- Lead and mentor junior IT staff, conducting code reviews and technical training sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
- Prepare and present technical documentation and system architecture diagrams to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent military experience).
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance (or the ability to obtain one).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in systems administration within a government or defense contracting environment.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and VPNs.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
