Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain robust cybersecurity controls for federal IT systems
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Develop and execute incident response plans for security breaches
- Ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and federal security standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security into system architectures
- Monitor security alerts and proactively mitigate emerging threats
- Provide technical guidance on security best practices to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of cybersecurity experience in federal or regulated environment
- Security+ CE or CISSP certification required
- Expertise in risk assessment frameworks (NIST SP 800-30)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and network protocols
- Active Secret security clearance (or ability to obtain)
