Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor advanced intrusion detection/prevention systems for federal networks
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified systems
- Lead incident response coordination during security breaches
- Develop and maintain comprehensive security documentation and compliance reports
- Collaborate with federal agencies to establish cybersecurity best practices
- Maintain compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DHS security protocols
- Train personnel on security awareness and protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of professional cybersecurity experience in federal/government sector
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expertise in network security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls)
- Secret clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance
- Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Strong analytical and incident response capabilities
