Responsibilities
- Implement advanced intrusion detection systems and network security protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on federal systems
- Lead incident response teams during cybersecurity breaches
- Develop security policies compliant with NIST and FISMA standards
- Monitor and analyze security logs using SIEM platforms
- Train federal personnel on cybersecurity best practices
- Collaborate with DHS and interagency security teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Active CISSP, Security+, or CompTIA Security+ certification
- Expert knowledge of network security tools (e.g., Splunk, Palo Alto)
- Experience with federal compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST)
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS security clearance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
