Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity incidents across federal networks
- Implement and maintain advanced security protocols including encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for critical infrastructure
- Develop incident response plans and coordinate with federal agencies during security breaches
- Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards (NIST, FISMA)
- Train federal employees on security best practices and threat awareness
- Collaborate with IT teams to integrate security measures into system architectures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain federal security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security roles
- Industry certifications (CISSP, Security+, CEH) preferred
- Proficiency in security tools: SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners
- Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud security, and threat intelligence
