Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal IT systems in compliance with FISMA and NIST standards
- Lead cybersecurity initiatives including threat detection and incident response
- Coordinate with VA medical centers across Texas on IT infrastructure projects
- Develop and maintain secure network architectures for sensitive veteran data
- Provide technical guidance on cloud migration strategies (AWS/Azure)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on IT modernization initiatives
- Ensure compliance with federal procurement and security protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of IT infrastructure management experience
- Active Security+ CE certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Expertise in federal IT compliance frameworks (FISMA, NIST 800-53)
- Experience with virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V) and container technologies
- Strong project management skills with PMP or similar certification preferred
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance
