Responsibilities
- Safeguard federal information systems using NIST frameworks and FISMA compliance protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on classified and unclassified networks
- Develop incident response plans and lead cybersecurity breach mitigation efforts
- Collaborate with federal agencies to implement zero-trust architectures
- Analyze threat intelligence and provide strategic cybersecurity recommendations
- Maintain CISSP or Security+ certification requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 5 years of cybersecurity experience in government or regulated industries
- Active Security+ or CISSP certification (required)
- Proficiency with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and network security protocols
- Secret clearance eligibility (required)
- Experience with cloud security (AWS/Azure) and containerization
- Familiarity with federal procurement processes and ITIL frameworks
