Responsibilities
- Monitor, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats against federal systems
- Implement advanced security protocols and encryption standards
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams during incident response
- Develop and maintain security documentation and compliance reports
- Lead security awareness training for federal personnel
- Stay updated on evolving cyber threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Active Secret security clearance (Top Secret preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- 5+ years experience in network security and threat detection
- Certification in CISSP, CEH, or CompTIA Security+
- Proficiency in SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and firewalls
- Experience with NIST SP 800-53 standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure during security incidents
