Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to support environmental policy decisions
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for stakeholder reporting
- Ensure data compliance with federal regulations (FISMA, HIPAA, and DOE standards)
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to standardize data collection methodologies
- Present findings to senior leadership through concise executive summaries
- Maintain data integrity across federal databases using ETL processes
- Lead ad-hoc analysis projects responding to emerging federal initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Environmental Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with federal data systems and compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), and data visualization tools
- Familiarity with federal reporting frameworks (e.g., GPRA, PART)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Experience working with geospatial datasets (GIS, ArcGIS)
- Ability to work independently with flexible scheduling requirements
- Active federal security clearance (or ability to obtain)
