Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal datasets to support border security operations and policy decisions
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using SQL, Python, and Tableau for DHS leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal data governance standards (FISMA, HIPAA, NIST)
- Collaborate with CBP, ICE, and TSA stakeholders to define data requirements
- Present analytical findings to senior leadership through executive briefings
- Maintain data integrity across multiple federal systems (DHS-Connect, E3)
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives for data collection methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal datasets
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), and data visualization tools
- Active federal security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Familiarity with DHS-specific systems and border security protocols
- Strong understanding of federal data privacy regulations (CUI, PII)
- Proven experience translating complex data into strategic recommendations
- Remote work experience with asynchronous collaboration tools
