Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal datasets to support strategic decision-making
- Ensure strict compliance with FISMA, HIPAA, and other federal data regulations
- Develop automated data pipelines using SQL, Python, and R
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations for senior leadership
- Conduct statistical analysis to identify trends and anomalies in government data
- Document data processes and maintain audit trails for regulatory reviews
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on data integration projects
- Present findings to stakeholders with clear, actionable recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with federal government data systems
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/NumPy), and data visualization tools
- Deep knowledge of federal data regulations (FISMA, HIPAA, 21st Century CURES Act)
- Certification in data governance or federal compliance (e.g., CDMP, CIPP) strongly preferred
- Experience with large-scale datasets (10M+ records) and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive data with utmost discretion and integrity
