Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets to support veteran healthcare programs and benefits administration
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using SQL, Python, and visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Ensure data integrity and compliance with federal regulations (HIPAA, FISMA, and VA-specific policies)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven solutions for veteran service improvements
- Present findings to senior leadership through clear, compelling visualizations and executive summaries
- Maintain and optimize data pipelines for real-time analytics and reporting
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives through data quality assessments
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal or healthcare data
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis
- Expertise in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Strong understanding of federal data governance, privacy regulations, and compliance standards
- Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights
