Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex healthcare datasets to identify trends and anomalies affecting veteran services
- Develop automated data pipelines using SQL, Python, and R for real-time reporting
- Create executive dashboards and visualizations for leadership decision-making
- Ensure compliance with federal data security protocols (FISMA, HIPAA)
- Collaborate with clinical teams to translate data insights into actionable recommendations
- Present findings to senior leadership through written reports and presentations
- Maintain data integrity across multiple VA systems and databases
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal datasets preferred
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis methodologies and experimental design
- Familiarity with healthcare data structures (ICD-10, CPT codes) and VA systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical/non-technical audiences
