Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret large-scale federal datasets using SQL, Python, and R to identify trends and anomalies
- Develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau/Power BI for executive decision-making
- Ensure compliance with federal data governance standards including FISMA and HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to design and implement data collection methodologies
- Prepare comprehensive analytical reports and briefings for senior leadership
- Maintain data integrity through rigorous quality control procedures and documentation
- Lead special projects addressing critical federal challenges in resource management and public safety
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years professional experience with federal data systems and compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Expertise in data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js)
- Familiarity with Alaska-specific datasets and environmental monitoring systems
