Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather, clean, and validate large, complex datasets from various sources to ensure accuracy and integrity for reporting purposes.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform advanced statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within federal data sets.
- Reporting & Visualization: Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau or PowerBI to present findings to stakeholders clearly.
- Compliance Support: Ensure all data handling and analysis processes adhere to federal regulations, security standards, and agency policies (e.g., FISMA, NIST).
- Collaboration: Partner with subject matter experts and technical teams to define data requirements and solution architectures.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of data pipelines, analysis methodologies, and findings.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within a federal or government contracting environment.
- Clearance: Active Secret or Top Secret clearance required. Must be willing to undergo a background investigation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database querying; experience with Python or R for data manipulation; strong knowledge of data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into non-technical business insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of precision when handling sensitive government information and performing complex calculations.
