Responsibilities
- Conduct Comprehensive Data Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyze large-scale federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform program performance and policy decisions.
- Develop Advanced Dashboards: Create interactive and visually compelling data visualizations using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or SAS to present complex information to stakeholders clearly.
- Ensure Data Integrity & Compliance: Adhere to strict federal data standards, security protocols (e.g., NIST, FISMA), and privacy regulations to ensure the accuracy and security of sensitive information.
- Generate Strategic Reporting: Prepare detailed reports, briefings, and executive summaries for government stakeholders, translating technical findings into business recommendations.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner with subject matter experts and technical leads to define data requirements and improve existing data pipelines and models.
- Support Audit and Evaluation: Assist in the preparation for audits and program evaluations by providing accurate historical data and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database querying and scripting languages (Python or R) is essential. Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI) is mandatory.
- Certifications: Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance is required. Relevant certifications such as CDMP (Certified Data Management Professional) or PMP are highly desirable.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain high data accuracy and manage sensitive information with strict confidentiality.
