Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret complex federal datasets to identify trends and anomalies affecting veteran services
- Develop interactive dashboards using Tableau/Power BI for executive leadership reporting
- Ensure compliance with federal data standards (FISMA, HIPAA, and 21st Century IDEA)
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams on data integration projects
- Present findings to congressional stakeholders through secure briefings
- Implement data quality frameworks for veteran benefit programs
- Maintain documentation of analytical methodologies and protocols
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 3+ years of experience with federal data systems (VA, CMS, SSA)
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python/R for data manipulation
- Security clearance eligibility (or ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Expertise in statistical modeling and predictive analytics
- Experience with federal reporting requirements (e.g., GPRA, PART)
- Strong written communication for policy briefings
