Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Management: Gather, clean, and validate large datasets from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and integrity for federal reporting requirements.
- Statistical Analysis: Perform complex statistical analysis using SQL, Python, or R to identify trends, anomalies, and patterns within the data.
- Reporting & Visualization: Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau or Power BI to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all data handling practices adhere to NIST security standards, FedRAMP guidelines, and federal privacy regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with program managers and subject matter experts to define data requirements and explain analytical findings clearly.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize data workflows and automate repetitive tasks to increase operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or defense contracting sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (querying and optimization), Python or R, and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik).
- Certifications: Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one is highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Schedule: Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends, to accommodate federal timelines and reporting cycles.
