Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Processing: Gather, cleanse, and validate large volumes of federal data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Analytics & Modeling: Perform advanced statistical analysis and data modeling to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights for federal stakeholders.
- Visualization: Design and develop interactive dashboards and visual reports using tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik to communicate complex data findings effectively.
- Compliance & Security: Ensure all data handling practices comply with federal regulations, NIST standards, and agency security protocols.
- Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with program managers and technical teams to translate data requirements into technical solutions and present findings to senior leadership.
- System Maintenance: Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot technical issues to ensure seamless data availability for reporting purposes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in data analysis, preferably within the Federal government or contracting sector.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL (PostgreSQL, Oracle, or SQL Server), Python, or R. Strong experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with FISMA, NIST, or other federal data security standards is a major plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Certifications: PMP, CSM, or data-related certifications are highly desirable.
