Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies affecting veterans' services
- Develop interactive dashboards and reports using SQL, Python, and Tableau for senior leadership
- Ensure compliance with federal data standards (FISMA, HIPAA) and security protocols
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to improve data-driven decision-making processes
- Present findings to stakeholders through clear visualizations and actionable recommendations
- Maintain data integrity across VA systems while supporting continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years of professional data analysis experience with federal datasets
- Proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas/Numpy), and data visualization tools (Tableau/Power BI)
- Strong understanding of federal regulations (FISMA, HIPAA, 508 compliance)
- Experience with ETL processes and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
