Responsibilities
- Conduct In-Depth Data Analysis: Collect, clean, and analyze large-scale federal datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that inform strategic initiatives.
- Develop Visualizations: Design and maintain interactive dashboards (Tableau, Power BI) to present complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders in a digestible format.
- Ensure Compliance: Adhere to strict federal regulations and data governance standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST) to maintain the highest level of data security and accuracy.
- Report Generation: Create comprehensive monthly and quarterly reports that summarize key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics for leadership.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with program managers and IT specialists to define data requirements and optimize data collection processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or a government contracting environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL for database querying and Python or R for statistical modeling.
- Visualization Tools: Strong working knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical data into business value.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance.
