Role Overview
The Federal Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to support federal programs. You will work closely with stakeholders to identify trends, generate reports, and provide actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Collect, clean, and preprocess large volumes of federal data to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Design and develop interactive dashboards using Tableau, Power BI, or similar visualization tools.
- Conduct statistical analysis and modeling to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data.
- Prepare clear, concise, and actionable reports and presentations for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with federal data security standards, privacy regulations, and agency policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and improve reporting processes.
- Stay current with emerging data technologies and best practices in the federal sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the federal government or a similar regulated industry.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
- Strong experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into business-friendly language.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a required government security clearance.
