Responsibilities
- Analyze complex federal health datasets to identify trends and generate actionable insights for policy development
- Design and implement automated data pipelines using SQL, Python, and R for weekly reporting requirementsEnsure compliance with federal data privacy regulations (HIPAA, FISMA) and security protocols
- Create interactive dashboards and visualizations for executive stakeholders using Tableau or Power BI
- Collaborate with cross-agency teams to standardize data collection methodologies across federal programs
- Present findings to senior leadership through concise executive summaries and data-driven recommendations
- Maintain and optimize data quality frameworks for federal health information systems
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Public Health, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years experience with federal healthcare datasets (Medicare/Medicaid claims, NHANES, etc.)
- Expert proficiency in SQL, Python (Pandas, NumPy), and statistical analysis tools
- Proven experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, D3.js)
- Familiarity with federal data governance frameworks and compliance requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
